Weather Warning & Alert Service The Sanctuary Weather Station now sends out three types of emails: a Weather Report, a Severe Weather Alert and a Frost Warning. If you'd like to receive any (or all) of these, simply drop us an email using the Contact Form and choose the appropriate department from the drop-down box. The first is a twice daily weather report of conditions observed at the Sanctuary Weather Station with the following format:
These reports are sent out at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m The second type of service is a Severe Weather alert and looks something like this:
The way the above report works is this: Please Note: this is not an advanced warning system of weather to come. It is a notification of weather events that have just taken place here at the Sanctuary Weather Station but can be indications of Severe Weather in the area. The thresholds are as follows: * Maximum wind gust above 50 km/h (High Wind) The third service is a Frost Warning alert which is automatically sent out when the following criteria are met: * Time of day is between 9pm & 9am (over night) If you're interested in receiving these, please let us know via the Contact Form, choosing the appropriate department(s) from the drop-down box. You are free to request that your email address be removed from the list at any time and your email address will not be passed to any third party. |
